Rachel Debolski is a Detroit-based visual artist, filmmaker, and writer whose artistic practice spans film, performance art, and video installation. She holds a BFA in Entertainment Arts with a focus on Digital Filmmaking from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan, and an MA in Media Studies from The New School in New York City.

Rachel’s work delves into the intersections of identity and desire, blending traditional storytelling with experimental filmmaking techniques to explore the construction of the female self.

In addition to her artistic practice, Rachel’s background in the film industry includes production work on feature films and television productions for NBC, Hulu, and Miramax, where she contributed as part of the production office team. She has also worked as a freelance Set Decorator and 1st Assistant Director on both short and feature length independent film productions. Beyond her industry work, Rachel has taught in academia, teaching experimental filmmaking, narrative filmmaking, creative visualization, and Women in Video and Performance Art.
